Liz Carr joins The Witcher cast for Season 2

A dialect coach taught me how to speak Elven

Liz Carr has joined the cast of The Witcher in its second season as Fenn of Codringher and Fenn, a character who is described as "a rebellious sorceress who uses a wheelchair". Carr is best known for her roles in Silent Witness and Devs, and she is also a disability rights activist. Carr spoke to Digital Spy about her role in The Witcher, and she revealed that she had to be taught how to speak Elven by a dialect coach. "The Elven language is very different from English," Carr said. "It's a very guttural language, and it's very difficult to pronounce. I had to work with a dialect coach to learn how to speak it properly."

Carr also spoke about the possibility of her character returning for future seasons of The Witcher. "I don't know if I'll be back for Season 3," Carr said. "But I would love to come back. I had a great time working on the show, and I think Fenn is a really interesting character."

Other new cast additions for season 2 include Cassie Clare (Brave New World) in the role of Phillippa Eilhart, and Kevin Doyle (Downton Abbey) as Ba'lian. Netflix has unveiled the addition of seven new cast members for the second season of The Witcher. The new cast members include: Yasen Atour (Young Wallander) as Coen, Agnes Bjorn as Vereena, Paul Bullion (Peaky Blinders) as Lambert, Thue Ersted Rasmussen (Fast & Furious 9) as Eskel, Aisha Fabienne Ross (The Danish Girl) as Lydia, Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones) as Nivellen, and Mecia Simson (His Dark Materials) as Francesca.
